There was something different at the 67th Anniversary of Indonesia on the courtyard of the Private Higher Education Coordinator (Kopertis) Region VII East Java, Friday, August 17, 2012. On that occasion, a number of professors from several private universities (PTS) of East Java received awards. One of them was the Rector of Widya Kartika University (Uwika), Dr. Ir. Gembong Baskoro, M.Sc.
The award given towards outstanding lecturer was based on 072/K7/KP/SK/2012 Decree dated May 8, 2012. Besides Gembong Baskoro,the Rector, there were two lecturers from universities in Malang also received a similar award. They were Prof. Dr. Hartini Rahayu, SH, M.Sc., M. Hum., from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang and Prof. Dr. Ir. Tri Poespowati, MT., from the National Institute of Technology Malang. The awarding was done ??by the Coordinator of Region VII Kopertis East Java, Prof.. Dr. H. Sugijanto, MS.Apt.
Gembong Baskoro said the award was an excellent achievement for Uwika. However, this achievement had to be used as a trigger a better spirit. “It’s not the end. But the starting point for us to carve achievements, “he said.
